Your resume talks about your professional and educational qualifications. What you have learned so far, and what you are capable of providing are some of the focal points. Do not create an objective
If you are a pro in the industry where you are applying, then recruiters will be well-acquainted with that through your resume and experience. You do not have to bother providing an objective. However, if it is not the case and you are a novice, then you might add a summary to your resume. But make sure to keep it short and to the point. Otherwise, recruiters will find it quite boring to go through your uncounted papers.
Avoid irrelevant experiences
It is advised that you avoid mentioning any experiences which could be considered irrelevant. Recruiters are always on the lookout for candidates, which can match with a vacancy. If you are thinking of providing some more work experience or other co-curriculum activities on your CV that aren't relevant to the position, think again. It's always better for you CV to focus on what's important to the role, rather than your extra curricular activities.
Nobody cares for your hobbies
It might be a little bit hurtful for you, but recruiters may not cares about the hobbies you have. It is something a bit personal for you and will be limited to your leisure time only. But, when you are at the office and working, everybody will try to check on your working style and productivity level. And that calls for good work and not working on your hobbies. So, try to avoid mentioning those in your resume as well.
People always think that they can fool the recruiters by blatantly lying about some experiences. In some professions you have to prove that you are worthy enough for the role. To do that you will have to go through some serious interview sessions and tests. If you try to dupe the recruiters it's highly likely you'll be found out fairly quickly.
For the references
In case the employers need to speak to your given references, it is wise you let your referrals know that they might get a call from your future employer.
Formatting matters a lot
You might not think this to be an important point, but unfortunately, it is. Inconsistent formatting is going to affect your chances of a job before you even talk to a recruiter. It is advised that you catch up with the best experts and create a CV that you can be proud of.
Go for a professional email address
Most of the time, recruiters are going to contact you either by phone or via email. And the second option is the by far the most common. It is during such instances, that you have to work with a practical email address. If you are using an old one, which is not professional sounding or simply a bit embarrassing, then it’s time to change it and create a new one.
