Cloud-based technology provider to the public sector Arcus Global is visiting universities across the UK to find sales graduates, cloud analysts and junior developers to fill up to 24 roles in 2015.
This year Arcus has already visited universities in Cambridge, Southampton, Manchester, East Anglia, Portsmouth and Essex, supported by year-round advertising on university careers portals and fair visits.
Such breadth of search is necessary due to the pace of expansion at Arcus, according to operations manager Becky Crisp, who has to hire two graduates a month.
“We’re growing year-on-year 200%, so I have a target of a one to two graduates per month and that is continuous throughout the year” she told Recruiter.
“At the moment I’m recruiting two junior developers and two cloud analysts – and a sales graduate as well. We will be looking for 20 to 24 graduates in 2015.”
Crisp adds the firm is seeking confident, creative, idea generating recruits to develop quickly within the business.
“Our graduates train very quickly. They drive their own destiny. We already have graduates in from last year that are in ‘scrum-master’ [product development project lead] roles already. Their career path is driven by the individual but usually for a junior developer, within six months they will take a step up.”
