January 2016, London: The New Entrepreneurs Foundation (NEF), the not-for-profit organisation focussed on nurturing the next generation of young entrepreneurs, is looking for up to 40 aspiring young entrepreneurs to join its 12 month training and development programme. Candidates should have left higher education, can be new or recent graduates or non-graduates.

“’That’s a great idea for a business’ is often a phrase said in passing. However, for those who wish their idea to be a reality, taking the first steps to starting a business straight out of university can be both daunting and exciting.

The NEF is a charity that offers the support, business skills and network to aspiring entrepreneurs with a drive to be a leader in business,” said Neeta Patel, CEO of New Entrepreneurs Foundation. “While the “entrepreneur” title does not fit everyone, you can still have the passion to be a leader, a storyteller, a change-maker or a risk-taker. It is these people the New Entrepreneurs Foundation (NEF) would be excited to have join its training and development programme.”

Online applications for NEF’s 2016/2017 class will close in mid-February. Those selected will participate in a programme that combines real-life business experience in fast growing SMEs with intensive training, business mentoring and coaching. Companies big and small like Deloitte, McKinsey, Tesco, BetFair, VitaCoco and Travelex give time and resources to the programme, which consists of five elements:

  • A paid work placement in an exciting, innovative high growth company
  • An intensive, immersive and interactive 10-month fast-track programme
  • Monthly speaker and networking events
  • An executive coach
  • A business mentor

Those graduates interested in participating can complete an online application form.

To date, NEF has already helped more than 120 young individuals to create 40 businesses which have created nearly 500 jobs and have raised nearly £3million in early-stage funding. For more information about the New Entrepreneurs Foundation and what it does, please go to newentrepreneursfoundation.com
