Job Description

You will join a close knit management team with the ultimate aim of growing your membership and raising our profile with families, schools and local communities. It’s a unique and challenging role where you can combine your love of working in education with a dynamic and fast paced commercial environment. It’s a really varied role but broadly speaking, there are 4 key areas that you will take responsibility for; management, sales and promotion, customer service and of course teaching.

We have roles available at our centre in Maidenhead, if you are interested in other locations check our profile to see where we are recruiting.

Become an Assistant Director

Could you help inspire the next generation of fearless learners? We are looking for incredible people to lead and manage our children’s education centres.

What you will be doing

There is no typical day at Explore Learning. There are 4 main areas that you’ll be getting stuck into, although you can expect to find yourself doing absolutely all sorts of things not included below too.

  • Sales & Marketing: You’ll be an ambassador for your centre, taking every opportunity to sell your memberships to families.
  • Education: You will impact children’s learning every day – nurturing the next generation of fearless learners.
  • Leadership: You’ll lead by example, using every opportunity to inspire and engage your team to be the best they can be.
  • Customer Service: People are at the heart of everything we do and you will build meaningful relationships with the families that attend your centre.

What you will have

We don't expect you to be an expert in all of these areas. Just like the kids that attend our centres, you never stop learning. Our staff have voted us as the No.1 company for Personal Growth as part of the Best Big Companies To Work For awards.

Once you have developed into a top performing Assistant Director, you have the opportunity to be promoted to a Centre Director. Further along in your career you may even work as part of our Head Office team; over 75% of our Head Office team started out as Assistant Directors or Tutors.

Company benefits:

  • £4,400 bonus
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Interest-free loan
  • Pension
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Paid charity volunteer day

“I love that Explore provides you with so many opportunities to develop yourself as a manager and there are so many different avenues to discover.” Adam, Centre Director, Walsall

Explore culture

Fancy an all-expenses paid trip to Miami or New York? Every quarter we reward our 6 top performing centres with an exciting holiday, our teams have been all over the globe from Marrakesh to Barcelona, New York to Dubai.

Explorers love absolutely any opportunity for a get-together and every year we have our glamorous Recognition Awards Dinner and our spectacular Recognition Awards ceremony. In the summer we have an all-out Explore Fest, this is a huge fancy dress filled and BBQ fuelled social in Hampshire and launches us into a wonderful company training event with free health and fitness classes available too.
