If you have been considering what to do with your life before, after and during school but want to end up in a high paying role, you might be surprised to learn that getting a bachelor's degree is the way forward.

A bachelor degree can open up doors to you that you may have once thought were closed. In this article, you will see some of the best-paid jobs that a bachelor's degree can get you so you have a better idea of why a seven-year course is definitely worth it.

It is well known that working in finance (and becoming an accountant, in particular) can be incredibly lucrative. After all, one of the best ways to make money is to work with it. However, people tend to be put off due to the fact that there is an idea that only top executives and heads of firms make good money.

That is not the case! In fact, at the entry level of accounting, you can make great money right out of the gate that will only increase with time and hard work. On average accountants start at 25k with the potential of doubling that figure. All you need is a bachelor degree in accounting and finance and you can start an exciting journey to a well-paid job.

To become an engineer you need to be specialised in the field that you are looking into so for example if you wanted to become a civil engineer you need to study courses specific to that field. There is also likely to be additional training before you get a job to get you well-versed and ready to earn some serious money.

Higher level positions in the medical sector might be a little out of reach with just a bachelor's degree but becoming a nurse is well within your reach. Nurses start earning at $50k in the U.S and £25k in the UK. So, if you wanted a job that allows you to help people, while also earning a very good living, nursing might just be for you.

Software developer

Software developers create and modify computer applications as well as utility programs and they get paid well to do it. In today's world of constantly advancing technology it means that software developers are always in demand, so not only do you have a chance to make up to £80k but you also will have plenty of options available to you after you complete your bachelor's degree and undergo further training.

Management consultant

If you want to make decent money being in the business world is one of the best ways to do so. Another way to make sure you earn money as well have a secure job is by entering an industry that will always needs you, and every business or company at some point will need a management consultant. In the U.S the starting salary for a management consultant with a bachelor's degree is over £50k which will increase with further training and experience making it a smart move for people willing to put in the time and effort.

Getting a bachelor degree is no walk in the park, it takes dedication, tenacity and a willingness to work hard for up to seven years before you can even reach the prospect of getting a good job.
