From Nightclubs to Networking: Priorities shift for British students online (Infographic)
A study of over 1,000 UK graduates carried out by The UK domain has revealed that on average University students are spending up to four hours a week (208 hours a year) on activities to improve their employability as they recognise the importance of standing out in a tough economic climate.
Over a quarter (25%) of students now create personal websites and a third use their LinkedIn profile to showcase their skills and help them bag their dream job. The good news is that 64% of HR decision makers from UK businesses are suggesting a personal website, rather than the traditional paper CV is likely to become the main way you can stand out and differentiate yourself against others applying for the same job in the next five years.
