The Training Place of Excellence

The Training Place of Excellence is a non-profit making organisation which focuses on offering quality Accountancy Trainings and other specialist training courses. We support candidates with practical accounting work experience in our partner accounting firm to complement their educational courses or qualifications and enhance their employment skills.

Courses we are currently running by an ACCA chartered certified accountant:



Sage 50 Computerised Accounts Level 1-3 (City & Guilds Accredited)

We have a 4-day Sage 50 Accounts training, which offers practical, hands-on accountancy experience and it is designed to help you appreciate the accountancy framework, get a good understanding of Sage 50 and get practical understanding of how an Accounts department works in the real world.

It covers:
Sales invoices, Sales ledger, Purchase invoices, Purchase ledger, Expense Claims, Payments, Petty cash, Receipts, Coding, Nominal ledger, Control accounts, Bank reconciliations, VAT, Accruals, Prepayments, Deferred income, Journals, Year End accounts, Trial Balance, P&L Accounts & Balance Sheet. 

After the four-day training you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to become a trainee in the firm.

AAT Qualification


The AAT Accounting Qualification is based on practical, real-world accounting knowledge you can put to use from day one. We offer a range of evening and day AAT Courses which are designed to fit your schedule. Once you have completed the full AAT qualification and gained the relevant work experience, you can become a Member of the AAT (MAAT).

Other Trainings we provide include:

  • Sage 50 Payroll
  • Management Accounting
  • Excel Spreadsheet
  • CBA’s- AAT, ACCA, CIMA
  • NVQ in Accounting- City & Guilds qualification
  • Bookkeeping & Accounts qualification (Level 1-3)

 

Accounting Work Placement


As a trainee on the work placement, you will follow a set workplan which will help to build and consolidate what you have learnt on the course. We carefully structure each of our workplans to ensure that the candidate gets the best of skills needed to complement their current knowledge and experience and get into an accounting job in the current employment market. This programme will be structured to give the students a good insight into Accounting in the real world. You will practice the duties that will be expected of you in a typical busy accounting department, and you will work under the supervision of an experienced person. No experience is necessary; we can cater for individuals new to accounting and new to computerised software.

Our accounting work experience training is geared to provide trainees with the necessary practical skills to complement their educational courses or qualifications and enhance their employment skills.
