There are 600+ Montessori schools in the UK, and thousands more worldwide. It offers a uniquely child-centred approach to education by developing the whole child intellectually, socially, physically, emotionally, linguistically and spiritually.

Montessori Centre International is Europe's largest Montessori Training College. It is based in Central London.

The early childhood diploma course is the most relevant for graduates who wish to qualify as Montessori teachers. It can be studied part-time or by distance learning. Montessori is endorsed by the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage and is making increasing in-roads within the state sector. Some state primaries are now adopting Montessori with plans for more to follow.
