Edmund Cude

Edmund Cude was established in 1818 and is one of the oldest names in the London property business.

We focus exclusively on what we know best: letting and property management. We operate from six offices: Camden, Clapham, Islington, Wandsworth, West Hampstead and our head office in Bloomsbury.

Landlords have a dedicated relationship manager and tenants have access to a dedicated property management team and can set up their tenancies by paying by credit or debit card.

We are members of the industry professional and regulatory body for letting agents (ARLA) which also provides financial protection through a deposit bonding scheme.

Our philosophy is different. We strive to attract the best graduates from the UK’s top universities, and we reward hard work and achievement with promotion.

In return we invest substantially in the developing of our team. Our commitment to training is demonstrated by the fact that we spend more than £2,000 training every new employee.

In addition to our internal programme of training, we require every single employee to undertake the ARLA Technical Award (or in the case of the accounts department their ACCA accreditation), and a generous continuing professional budget is set aside for each member of the team.

This training programme is supported by a comprehensive programme of individual coaching and six monthly reviews. The review process helps identify any further training requirements, determines a set of developmental objectives and, last but not least, culminates in the payment of a twice yearly bonus.

Case Study 1

“I joined Edmund Cude straight from university on the Graduate Entry Programme. I wanted to work in property and was looking for an employer that would invest as much in me as I intended to invest in the company. The training programme here has been brilliant and the actress that helped with the communication skills session was so convincing, I genuinely thought she wanted to rent a property through us! The company is very welcoming and the six monthly development reviews (which coincide with the bonus payments) are really helpful for knowing that you are on track and identifying what other areas of training would be helpful. Last but not least, the people here are great. There is no shortage of opportunities to go out after work and the monthly team drinks (all paid for) are a great way to keep in touch with the new grads in the other offices”

Case Study 2

"I joined Edmund Cude on the Graduate Entry programme and have learnt a tremendous amount over the past 18 months. I love the variety of the position, one minute you might be conducting a valuation of a £2000 per week Georgian townhouse, and the next you might be helping some students find a property that is close to their campus but still within their budget.

Case Study 3

I was new to the industry when I began the role and the in depth training provided by Edmund Cude was invaluable and has helped me to gain a better knowledge of the laws, legislations and everyday practices of how the industry works.

Case Study 4

Edmund Cude is also a very friendly environment to work in where you are made to feel part of the team through various team excursions, annual trips and monthly company sponsored events which all help to create a great working atmosphere and team spirit." Vatche Cherchian, Senior Negotiator
