Air Products Graduate Scheme has been established for over 30 years. The scheme is in the form of three one year assignments followed by one further career move of two years respectively. These assignments can be taken among a wide range of sectors, whether it is in Operations, carrying out process optimisation work, commissioning and day to day plant operation, in Engineering working on bids, projects or process design or in Research and Development designing and testing new product lines or looking at increasing performances of existing equipment.
 
Air Products also encourages graduates to take at least one assignment abroad. Apart from on-the-job training there is a structured graduate training programme and extensive internal training courses to aid technical and personal development. The Engineering Development Programme is accredited by the IChemE and the IMechE.
